Montalbert, component of La plagne, is a picturesque and attractive pleasant French village, without high-rise with originally a small community and is located on the edge of the forest at 1350 meters altitude.  All buildings in the typical Savoy style with lots of low-rise. Montalbert is part of the immense ski area Paradiski (La plagne and Les arcs) and borders on the nature reserve La Vanoise. 

The ski possibilities are simply amazing for both beginners and advanced skiers. At 50 meters distance of your chalet is the ski slope located, which you will bring up quickly with a chair lift. Partly due to the many snow guns, until the valley, the valley descent has been opened always. The valley lies on 1300 meters altitude. Around the village you can ski deliciously between the trees. Montalbert has its own ESF skischool where both beginners and advances skiers can get their lessons. In addition, there are special children’s classes (from 3 years). The skischool also offers day trips, such as a day off book slope for beginners on Thursday and advanced skiers on Friday. The skischool of Montalbert has some teachers who speak Dutch. If you book your lessons online, you can frequently get a discount.  

In the village you find a baker and supermarket. These are open every day during the winter sports season. Around the village there are 9 restaurants, sociable après ski bars, a lounge club and an internet café. There are also shops with ski articles.

With nice weather, you can enjoy on your private terrace of 40 m2 with a wonderful panoramic view of the mountain ranges of Beaufortain and the Mont Blanc. Montalbert is a sociable village with frequent different activities such as shows and husky dog sledding. You can make a beautiful trip with your own sled with 3 dogs under guidance of the trainer. There are also cabarets and torchlight hikes. 

For those left behind is at a distance of 1500 meters from the chalet an attractive mountain hut/restaurant. This is situated at 1600 meters altitude with a beautiful view over the mountains. In restaurant Le Forperet you can drink and eat together and you can return to the chalet by walking by the moonlight or by sled. There is also a possibility to return by a free shuttlebus. 

Skigebied Paradiski

The ski area Paradiski is the large ski resort from Les Arcs and La plagne together. Since a few years the Vanoise has linked (one of the largest gondolas of the world) both areas with eachother with an unique offer to snow-certain slopes and descents between the forest. Thus here you can find among other things the following:

You can buy ski passes for La Grande Plagne (225 km slopes), Paradiski Illimite (430 km slopes) and Paradiski Decouverte which contains a 6 day skipass and one day a free pass for Les Trois Vallees or espace Killy. Here you can have a look for all skipass information.

Very close to the chalet you can find the ski school where you can get lessons in all possible disciplines. There are special lessons for children from 3-4 years old. if you book your lessons online, then you can frequently get a discount.

Bobsleigh track

In la plagne is the olympic bobsled course situated. With an average of 90 km per hour you have three possiblities. You can take a mono bob where you have a solo descent without a professional driver. Here you must have courage for it. There is also a possibility to make a descent in a bob for 2 or 4 persons. It is a unforgettable experience.

In montalbert and Notre Dame du Pre there are many possibilities to make beautiful walks for non-skiers.
